Job Purpose
To act as the primary point of contact between the organization and the electricity distribution utility, ensuring smooth execution of all processes related to new power connections, load enhancement/reduction, billing issues, and compliance with regulatory requirements etc.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate with power utility companies (DISCOMs) for new electricity connections, temporary connections, and load enhancement/reduction applications.
- Prepare, submit, and follow up on required documents, drawings, and approvals as per utility norms.
- Track progress of applications and resolve delays or discrepancies by laiasoning with utility officials.
- Manage correspondence with utility departments regarding metering, billing, tariff changes, and technical clarifications.
- Facilitate inspection visits by utility engineers and ensure readiness of installations.
- Maintain records of applications, approvals, sanctions, and payment receipts.
- Support client project teams during commissioning by ensuring timely energization from the utility.
- Keep management informed of policy changes, circulars, or updates issued by the electricity regulators or utilities.
Work Location:
Office and field visits to power utility offices, substations, and project sites as required.
